SUSDEST-NET Project Officially Launched in Kavala
The SUSDEST-NET – Sustainable Destination Black Sea Network project officially kicked off on 24–25 February in Kavala, bringing together representatives from all partner organizations.
The meeting was hosted by the Municipality of Kavala, which is also the project’s lead partner. The event opened with welcome remarks from the Deputy Mayors, followed by introductions of project partners, experts, and key stakeholders.
Setting the Direction
During the Steering Committee meeting — composed of representatives from each partner organization — participants reviewed the project’s vision, objectives, planned activities, and expected results.
Through interactive workshops, partners worked together to identify the main challenges and future aspirations of the five participating destination areas where the project’s core actions will be implemented. These discussions helped align priorities and create a shared roadmap for action.
Focus on the First Phase
Special attention was given to the first six months of implementation, including:
- Identification of target groups
- Definition of expected outputs
- Technical planning
- Administrative coordination
This practical planning ensures that the project moves forward efficiently and with clear goals.
