UBBSLA conducted trainings on disaster preparedness and first aid as part of Impact+ project activities
During the period 7th – 10th July 2025 the UBBSLA visited the fifth targeted municipalities of Impact+ and accomplished the first part of the trainings on disaster preparedness and management and first aid.
The training activities gathered representatives of the local authorities & administrations, the mayors of the small communities, stakeholders, representatives of civil society organizations, volunteer formation and local population. The training started in Aksakovo and Beloslav municipalities (8th July), followed in Dolni chilfik and Byala municipalities (9th July) and Dalgopol (10th July), all of them in line with the general framework to raise awareness and provide comprehensive information about the various steps and actions that should be taken during natural disasters (landslides, floods, heat, snow, etc. ) as all of them face such conditions.
Representatives from the Red Cross, Varna region, together with the local leaders shared experience how they cooperate with the local administrations and institutions, show practical step how to provide a first aid, how to recognize injured people, how to help and support them, etc.
The municipal responsible experts shared experience of managing local disasters in close cooperation with the respective institutions and authorities.
